Who is She?

You’ve made it this far so you might as well read this post if nothing else…so let me introduce myself. My name is Kirsty, I’m from the Scottish Borders and am a country girl through and through, although I have been living in Edinburgh on and off for the past 5 years due to work. I have a BSc in Psychology and MSc in Forensic Psychology (spoiler alert – jobs in forensic psych are like gold dust and I still haven’t found one). I’m really not a city bird so spend as much time as possible back home as possible (I’m not sure my parents enjoy this as much as I do), although, I definitely enjoy the nightlife, shopping and restaurants on offer in town…or at least I did before the rona.

I’m a horsey girl and have been all my life and am lucky to be able to share horses with my parents, so this is another reason I venture home so often. I also have a little black and tan sausage pup who came into our lives in July 2020, she is a complete nightmare but a super cute one at that. I have also claimed my parents Jack Russell as partly my own because what is theirs is naturally mine too.

I’ve decided to start writing this blog as a bit of an insight into my life…kind of like a more detailed Instagram. It’s really just a bit of fun for myself and will not be anything fancy…because it’s about my life, it will be a mixed bag of country and city life, horses, dogs, fashion, beauty (I’m all about the subscription boxes) and whatever else I’m getting up to. If you already follow me on Instagram, you will know what I’m talking about. If you don’t follow me on Instagram (and why not?!), you can find me @kirstyjane5.

Usually the summer is full of events – county shows, eventing and lots of boozing but seeing as this year has been a complete right off, I’m just praying we can get back to some normality and start again next year! My heart is still broken from missing the Highland Show for the first time ever!

I think that’s enough from me for now, I would tell you what’s coming next but even I don’t know. Thanks for taking the time to read this and shall be back again soon…probably.
