I know I’ve said this at the start of pretty much every post but I just can’t get over how quickly this year is going…I feel like I did my last Glossybox post only a few days ago! This month’s Glossybox theme is Beauty Tales and subscribers received one of two box designs…either Enchanted Spirit or Midnight Fantasy. I received the Enchanted Spirit box which is a gorgeous lilac coloured box with gold detailing and I will definitely be keeping it as a storage box! There is a good mix of make up and skincare products this month as well as a couple of full sized items.
Starting with make up, the first item out the box is Illamasqua Hydra Veil Primer (Deluxe mini RRP £10, Full size RRP £34). I’ve used this before and can confirm it is pretty amazing. The clear gel is really easy to apply and left my skin feeling great and my make up stays in place for so much longer! It’s pricey so I was very happy to get a sample of this.
Next up is Beauty Crop Stargazing Blush Duo (RRP £18) which is a compact containing two blush shades, one matte and one shimmer which can either be used alone or blended together. I love these shades, they are both warm and flattering and one is a bronze shade while the other is more of a coral, although they are possibly a little too shimmery for day time…probably won’t stop me though. I’ll definitely be using the shimmery side as a highlighter as well.
The last make up item is Luna by Luna Pixie Lipstick (RRP £15). This is almost like a dark nude which is verging on red shade which unfortunately isn’t a colour I’d usually wear as I find it slightly too dark. However, it is really nice and pigmented and doesn’t feel drying at all.

Moving on to skincare we have Crabtree & Evelyn Smooth + Refine Body Lotion (Sample size RRP £4, Full size RRP £19). I love a good body lotion and haven’t tried one from this brand before (although their hand creams are very nice!) I haven’t used this yet as still making my way through my current lotion but I can confirm it smells amazing and I can’t wait to use it!
Last of the beauty products is Bubble T Fairy Dust Foaming Bath Powder (RRP £5.99). Anything with fairy dust gets a yes from me. One thing I have hugely missed since living in a flat is a bath! However, seeing as I’ve been back home since April, I’ve been reunited with our big old farmhouse tub! But as much as I love a bath, I’m not someone who can stay in there for any great length of time as I get bored too quickly. This turned the water a pretty lilac colour and smells super nice…I wouldn’t say it was overly foamy but I’m also not sure how much it is supposed to.
There was an extra little treat this month in the form of a little Cadbury’s Dark Milk bar. I was extremely excited by this as I’ve been wanting to see what it’s like for ages but never committed to buying it as I’m not a fan of dark chocolate and didn’t want to waste a precious snack on something I wouldn’t like. At the risk of sounding stupid, it really does taste like a mix of dark and milk chocolate. It’s definitely not going to replace my milk chocolate but I like it much more than the regular dark stuff which I find too bitter. YUM.

Overall, this month’s box was a total treat. There wasn’t anything that I really don’t like (and that includes the lipstick), and I love the body lotion and blush duo, not to mention the extra edible treat which is obviously now gone.
Unfortunately this box has already sold out (is it really a surprise though?) but you can pre-order November’s box now and get 20% off your first subscription with the code https://www.glossybox.co.uk/referrals.list?applyCode=KIRSTY-R25 . Also spoiler alert but next month, subscribers will receive an LASplash eyeshadow palette and it looks dreamy!
Until next time,
Kirsty x
