November 2020 Birchbox

How is it December in a few days? This year has literally flown by! I wasn’t blown away with this month’s Birchbox, but there were a few products in there that I was very happy with. There is a good mix of make-up, skincare and hair products which is always nice and I don’t think there is anything I won’t use apart from the mirror.

I’ll start with the make-up, and I got the RealHer Matte Liquid lipstick in the shade I Will Succeed which is a nudey kind of shade (RRP £18) . I don’t tend to wear matte lip products as they always feel dry and make my already thin lips feel thinner, but this one felt nice and the colour is just the shade I usually go for.

The second make-up treat in this month’s box is the Manna Kadar Glo Illuminator (RRP £23). This is something I have used before and although I wasn’t sold at first, now I love it! I apply this over my whole face under my make-up and it leaves my skin with a really nice, natural glow.

Moving on to skincare we have the Vitamasques 3 Step Super Green Detox Facial (RRP £5.99). I haven’t tried this yet, but it seems like I need to make sure I can set aside a decent length of time before I apply. This starts with a scrub which requires 5 minutes of waiting before rinsing off and applying the sheet mask for 20 minutes. The final step is a moisturiser which you are advised to massage in for 5 minutes. It sounds like an effort but if my skin looks and feels fabulous afterwards? I’m down for it.

Haircare next and it’s the Brave. New. Hair. Reboot Hair Mask (RRP £11.50). This claims to Detangle, reduce breakage, add damage and undo damage for chemical treatments. Does it live up to these claims? I don’t know, but I can tell you my hair felt super soft and manageable after washing so I’m happy with the results.

The last item in the box is the Birchbox Pocket Mirror (£5) which I was a bit disappointed with as the glass kind of distorts your face and it’s just not something I will use.

And that’s it for this month’s Birchbox. I haven’t taken photos of the indivual items like I usually do for no other reason than I forgot and I’m too tired to do it now but I’ll update the post at some point. I said at the beginning I wasn’t overly excited by the contents but I am still very happy with what I received and I will use everything other than the mirror…4 out of 5 ain’t bad. I’m looking forward to trying the face mask and I’m very glad I have another illuminator as I haven’t got round to buying another after the last one ran out. I’m looking forward to next month’s box as December is always a month where they pull out the big guns. For the rest of November (which I know isn’t long) you can get a whopping 50% off 6 and 12 month subscriptions with this code https://birchbox.mention-me.com/m/ol/mq1ra-kirsty-arnott

What did you think of this month’s box?
