January Glossybox 2021

And here we are…my first beauty box review post of 2021! I was slightly disappointed with December’s Glossybox as they usually go all out with a festive theme and then January is all about detox and pampering…this time both December and January seemed to focus more on skincare and not so much on make-up, which I know a lot of people were very happy with, but personally, I would have liked a little something sparkly! Anyway, let’s get to the good stuff and see what was in this month’s box.

Seeing as it is such a skincare heavy box, that’s where I’ll begin…I received the Daily Concepts Daily Reusable Rounds (RRP £6.80). I haven’t used reusable pads before but have been meaning to so this came at a great time for me. These are really soft and work so well at removing my make-up, I just added water and they did the job! I’ll definitely need to stock up on these!

Next up is the Beauty Pro Avocado Infused Sheet Mask (RRP £4.95). I love a sheet mask and even though I still have a pile to get through, I always welcome more. This leaves my skin feeling super soft and moisturised and is perfect for a pampering treat!

The next item is a product and brand I haven’t heard of before and that’s the Ecooking Moisturising Serum (RRP deluxe mini £22.50, full size RRP £45) but I’m glad to have discovered it. I have only used it a couple of times so far but it leaves my skin feeling really soft and moisturised. I’m not sure it will top my favourite serums but I’ll keep using and see how I get on.

Subscribers were due to receive a facial massage tool but due to issues with the supplier, we received the Mudmasky Serum Infused Eye Mask (RRP £43.61). I’ve received quite a few Mudmasky products before so it does seem a bit repetitive, but, I have enjoyed using every product I’ve received so I can’t really complain. I’ve not used it very much yet but I can say it applies well and doesn’t cause me any irritation at all. As for it’s impact on puffy eyes and wrinkles? It’s too early too tell but I’m praying it might be a miracle worker!

Moving on from skincare and on to the only make-up product in this month’s box is the Saint Luxe Clear Brow Gel (RRP £16). This is something I would never, ever use…not because there is anything wrong with the product but just because I don’t really do anything to my brows other than fill in with a little pencil. It has good reviews though so if this is your thing, then it may be worth a shot. Don’t worry though, it won’t be going to waste…I’ll be gifting this to someone who will enjoy it!

As a little bonus treat, Glossybox have thrown in a 6th product in the form of Your Sanitiser Hand Disinfection Gel (RRP £2.72). It may not be glamorous but in at this time? It’s definitely relevant and will definitely be getting used up! It doesn’t smell great but it dries quickly and doesn’t dry my hands out like others I’ve used.

So that’s that, January’s box is done and dusted. Although I will enjoy a lot of the products in this month’s box, I was a bit disappointed it was so skin heavy and the only make-up product is completely useless to me. This box also contained all full sized items apart from the serum which is a deluxe mini so it’s great value for money and means you can try the products for long enough to know if they are right for you. I loved the sheet mask and am also enjoying the reusable pads, serum and eye mask. Plus, I’ll also use the hand sanitiser, so all in all, it actually is a good box. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this month’s box!
