April Glossybox 2021

April is not a month of beauty for me as I spend most of my time in the lambing shed covered in muck and straw. However, that certainly doesn’t stop me appreciating the lovely products that have been posted through my door. This month’s Glossybox theme is ‘Woke Up In Spring’ and features three full sized products and two deluxe minis with an overall value of over £50 and although I have been getting these boxes for a few years now, I am still loving them as much as ever.

Starting with make-up we have a full sized Sophia + Mabelle Eyeshadow Quad (RRP £25). This is a pretty pink colour that is right up my street and has a mix of matte and shimmer shades. This is perfect for day time and although some of the shades are quite pink, they are very wearable! Although I can’t say the shadows apply quite as well as my trusty Huda shades, they still look great either alone or blended together. The flowery outer packaging is also ridiculously pretty!

The second make-up product in this month’s box and another full sized product is DWTN Paris Liquid Blusher (RRP £19.58). I still haven’t managed to get the hang of liquid blush application but I was very happy to receive this as it means I can practice and hope I get the hang of it. What I will say is add sparingly, a little clearly goes a long way with this product…which also means it should last a while. Also, when you don’t apply far too much, it’s a very nice, natural colour.

Moving on to skincare and the third full sized item in the box is Feel Free Antioxidant Eye Contour Cream (RRP £4.77). Okay so I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to eye creams so I was very sceptical when I saw the price of this and the packaging isn’t much to look at either (I know, I know…I shouldn’t care but sometimes I do). I haven’t been using it long enough to see if it makes a difference (still not holding out much hope) but it does apply well and leaves my eyes feeling nice and refreshed.

The first deluxe sized product in this month’s box is the Skin & Co Roma Truffle Therapy Morning Dew (Full size RRP £18.29). I have had a cream cleanser from this brand in the past and really liked it so was happy to see this gel version. I found this really effective at cleansing my face and it got through all my make-up without leaving me with panda eyes. It also didn’t irritate my skin or leave my face feeling tight and sore like many others do. A big thumbs up from me.

The last item is the Minus 417 Serenity Legend – Hydrating Dead Sea Bath Salts (Full Size RRP £10.24). Since moving house and having a bathtub for the first time in years, I’ve been enjoying using many a bath bomb so I was not unhappy to find this in my box. I haven’t used these yet as seeing as I have been in the lambing shed every day, as much as I would love a good soak, I know the bath would end up filthy and I’d be surrounded by bits of straw and filth floating around in the water. However, I am looking forward to using these soon!

So that’s this month’s offering and I was pretty happy with the products. I loved the eyeshadow make-up products and the cleanser. I can’t say I’ve been blown away by the eye cream but I will still be using it up until it’s finished and I’m looking forward to using the bath salts. There was also a great mix of full sized and deluxe sample sized products so great value for money as always!
