It’s officially summer and I am here for it…and we’ve even managed to see some sunshine! This month’s Glossybox theme is ‘Dreaming of Paradise’, bringing us products that can takeyou from beach to bar. Yep sounds good to me! All subscribers will also receive an extra treat this month in the form of either Taylor coffee bags or a KIND bar (my favourite snack). But let’s get on with the good stuff and see what was in this month’s box of treats.
This was a very varied box but I’ll start with make-up, and the only product in this month’s box is a full sized The Beauty Crop Oui Cherie Lip Oil (RRP £13). I love a glossy lip but I am not a fan of products which change colour on application so I wasn’t sure what I’d make of this. I really liked the consistency, it wasn’t too sticky and didn’t dry out my lips…however, I wasn’t keen on the pink colour. I like a pink lipstick but tints are not my bag so unfortunately this was a no from me, but I’d still say the product itself is good and worth a try if it sounds like the kind of finish you go for.

There were a few skincare and body products this month so I’ll start with my favourite which is the Nip & Fab Vitamin C Scrub Fix (RRP £12.95) This was another full sized product and although I’m not usually that bothered about scrubs, I do love this brand and the bright, colourful bottle definitely caught my attention. This is a great scrub…not too harsh but packs enough of a punch to leave my skin feeling soft and smooth. It also apparently helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles but I can’t say I have noticed anything of the sort yet…but here’s hoping!

Moving on to the Mitchell & Peach English Leaf Body Oil and you guessed it, another full sized product (RRP £23). I am very picky about my body oils as I love using them but hate when they leave you feeling greasy and sticky. This thankfully does nothing of the sort and left my skin feeling super soft and smelling AMAZING! This is fragranced with citrus, coriander leaves, basil, mint and floral oils…sounds like something I would hate and I would never have purchased this myself but I can confirm it is an absolute treat!

Next we have a deluxe mini Cetraben Cream (RRP £2.99). This isn’t something I got excited about, however, I know it works and will definitely get use out of it. This cream is perfect for sensitive skin or if you suffer from the likes of eczema. It doesn’t boast a strong scent and although I don’t use on a regular basis, if my skin flares up then this is the product I reach for to lock in moisture and clear up any dry patches.

The sole hair product in this month’s box is a classic…Batiste Dry Shampoo in Blush (Deluxe mini RRP £2.99). I love this dry shampoo, yes it leaves white residue if you get it too close but it does rub out with a bit of effort! I always have a bottle of this on stand-by as it’s cheap and cheerful so I don’t feel too guilty about how much I use. This dry shampoo always leaves my hair looking clean and adds some much needed volume…this mini size will also be perfect for adding to my handbag for any top-ups on the go!

As an extra treat this month subscribers will get either some Taylor coffee bags or a KIND bar (like a cereal bar but so much better). I was really praying for the KIND bar as I am obsessed with them (hello salted caramel dark chocolate) but they are too spenny for me to buy on a regular basis. Unfortunately, I was very sad to see the coffee bags nestled at the bottom of my box…I don’t drink coffee so these were also useless to me, however, I’ll let my family fight it out for them instead.

So that’s it for another month, I hope you agree that this was a nice summery box and great value for money as always. I especially liked the scrub, body oil and dry shampoo but will also use up the cream. The only item I won’t continue using is the lip oil but I’m glad I got to try it out anyway (I’m not counting the coffee bags as they were an added extra). I’d love to hear your thoughts on this month’s box and if anybody out there doesn’t want their KIND bars, I will happily take them off your hands!
