September Glossybox 2021

This month’s Glossybox was delayed, hence why this post is so late in the month…it was however, jam packed with goodies so I’m certainly not complaining! September’s theme was Pure Relaxation, bringing us products which aim to allow us to pamper and relax…and worth over £75 in total! I received three full sized items in this month’s box as well as three trial sized items and an extra sweet treat as an added bonus. But enough of that, let’s just get to the good bit…

This was quite a skincare heavy box so I’ll start with the deluxe mini sized Skin & Co Roma Truffle Therapy Face Gommage (RRP £3, Full sized RRP £21.60). I’ve previously tried a different product from this brand and really liked it so looked forward to giving this a go! This cleanser contains sweet almond oil, gentle apricot seed powder and black winter truffle extract (phew) and claims to exfoliate, nourish and brighten skin. I found this to be gentle on skin but left it feeling super soft and clean…it also smells delightful! Another excellent product from Skin & Co…thumbs up.

Next up is the full sized Dual Facial Cleansing Brush (RRP £16.49). This brush features ultra soft bristles on one side and an exfoliating brush on the other and claims to remove make-up, cleanse pores and massage skin at the same time. I did like this, the bristley side felt nice and I did feel like it cleansed well…my skin also felt nice and soft afterwards. I’d say this is good for a budget option but it won’t be replacing my Clarisonic any time soon.

The next skincare item I received is the Vitamasques Pearl Sheet Mask (RRP £4.99)…I really like this brand so was chuffed to see this mask inside. This mask contains Chamomile, Centella (me neither), pearl powder and peony and claims to boost radiance, moisturise, and protect against redness and antioxidants. I know they are bad for the environment and I don’t use them often but I do love a sheet mask. This did not disappoint…my skin felt SO soft and nourished after using this! Perfect for a pamper evening!

The last skincare item in this month’s box is a full sized Figs & Rouge Wonder Love Clarity Skin Perfecting Serum Drops (wow, that’s a name and a half) (RRP £42). I’ve tried a couple of products from this brand and while they have all been nice, I haven’t been wowed by anything yet. This serum boasts a lot of claims…exfoliates, unclogs pores, minimises breakouts and blackheads, reduces dry and/or bumpy skin, refreshes and moisturises…you still with me? First thoughts are that this serum applies smoothly and does feel very moisturising. As for everything else? Well time will tell but I’m not going to hold my breath for a miracle…I’ll keep using this though and the bottle will last for ages so I’ve got plenty of time to see if it lives up to it’s impressive claims.

I also received a deluxe mini sized Percy & Reed Hold it Right There! Strong Hold Hairspray (RRP £7, Full Sized RRP £12.50). I love this brand and am always happy to see their products in my beauty boxes. This hair spray did not disappoint…it kept my hair in place, didn’t look greasy or feel hard and crunchy, plus is also smells very nice. There is nothing negative I can say about this product, it’s a winner for me!

All subscribers received an extra treat in the form of Judith Lieber More is More – Eau de Parfum for Her (4.3ml RRP £9, Full sized RRP £115). Enclosed in a very pretty box are three little scent bottles which you can were alone or blended together. All three smell really nice to me, although my favourite was the More Gourmand! I loved this as an extra treat and always glad to have some little perfumes that I can add to my handbag.

Last but not least I received an edible extra, none other than a bar of classic Lindt chocolate. There’s not much I need to say regarding this one other than it is bloody delicious and if you haven’t tried it then what is wrong with you?!

And that’s it for September’s Glossybox! I did find this box very skincare heavy but that’s not necessarily a negative. I loved the sheet mask, hair spray and perfumes and I also liked the exfoliating cream. I’m as yet undecided on the serum…it is nice but I can’t say it’s blown me away just yet. I wasn’t overly enthused about the face brush, I did find it a slightly boring addition…but any disappointment was short lived due to the addition of chocolate! Bring on October’s box (although it scared me that we are nearly at Halloween month already). What did you think of this month’s box?
