April Glossybox 2022

April has been a super busy month for me but I have finally caught up on my unboxing posts! With the arrival of Spring, Glossybox has provided us with a very fitting ‘Spring Softness’ theme this month…what does that mean I hear you ask? I have no idea but it sounds nice. As always with Glossybox, subscribers are treated to lots of generously sized goodies and apparently there should have been an extra edible treat but I never received that which makes me sad as I am an absolute munch King! Oh well…

I’m going to start with a body product as it was one of my favourites out of this month’s box and that is the Mitchell and Peach Flora No.1 Body Soufflé (Full size RRP £20). This cream contains honey, organic cocoa and vitamin B5 to nourish skin and is scented with oils of lavender, rose, ylang ylang and violet…it literally sounds incredible. I love a scented body cream so dived right into this and I was not disappointed! First and foremost, it smells amazing! I loved the scent of this so much, I almost didn’t care about the cream…but let’s not get too silly. The cream was light but punchy and left my skin feeling really soft and moisturised. It’s not too thick and sinks into skin quickly and applies smoothly, leaving that delightful scent to linger long after application. Love, love, love it!

With a hard act to follow, we have the Sand & Sky Super Bounce Mask (Full size RRP £56.90). This face mask holds a lot of claims – brightens and evens skin tone, reduces wrinkles, hydrates and protects skin…so it should for that price! I have actually used this before and really liked it, so even though I wouldn’t usually spend £56 on a mask myself, I’d be very happy to receive this as a gift or to treat someone else. My main worry with clay masks is that they will leave skin feeling tight and sore but this does the complete opposite for me and my skin always feels amazing after using it…soft, bright and not tight in the slightest. Is it worth the price? Probably if you can afford it, but this is definitely a treat yo’self product for me.

Next up is another skincare product, a sample sized This Works Morning Expert Hyaluronic Serum (Full size RRP £37). With a blend of Vitamin C and Hyaluronic Acid, this serum claims to firm, tighten and smooth the appearance of skin and is made from 99% natural ingredients as well as being vegan and cruelty free. This was a small sample but I still managed to get a good amount of use out of it (although probably not enough to see any noticeable difference). I liked the feel of this serum, it is silky smooth and applied like a dream, leaving my skin feeling super soft and lovely. I didn’t notice any visible brightening effects but I think I would need to use it for longer so it wouldn’t put me off buying it…if anything, I’m convinced by the many 5 star reviews!

Moving on to make-up, we have the Dwtn Paris Liquid Eyeshadow (Full size RRP £15). This is a lovely coppery shade which isn’t the most pigmented at first but the intensity can be built up easily for your desired look. I love the colour and it is so easy to apply…perfect for Spring/ Summer. My only issue is that it isn’t as long lasting as other liquid eyeshadows I have tried and for this reason alone I wouldn’t purchase again. I’ll definitely use the rest of the tube though and it will last for ages!

The last item out the box is Leaf + Seed Smooth Start Bond Reconstruct Shampoo (Full size RRP £16). As always…WHY SHAMPOO WITHOUT THE CONDITIONER?! One of my biggest subscription box pet peeves! However…I did look forward to trying this and it was a brand I hadn’t heard of before. My flat hair definitely doesn’t need a smoothing shampoo but it also claims to give strong, shiny and smooth hair which is something I am all for. I’d say this shampoo did leave my hair feeling good and it did look smooth and dare I say it, with a bit of a shine…buuuuut, it would have been nice to see how both the shampoo and conditioner worked with my hair as the shampoo alone isn’t enough to convince me to buy the pair.

And there we have it, April’s offering tried and tested. As usual I was very happy with my Glossybox offering, there was a good mix of trial and full sized items as well as different products. There wasn’t anything I disliked (apart from shampoo without it’s partner) and I’d say my favourite items from this month’s box were the body cream and the face mask but I will get use out of everything which is always a bonus. I’d love to hear your thoughts on this month’s box!
