Oops, this is a very belated June post…I wish I could say I have just been too busy to keep on top of it but in reality, I just lost track of time. Better late than never though right? Anyway, June’s Glossybox’s theme was ‘Fresh Breeze’…which is ironic as there was nothing fresh and breezy about June – EL SCORCHIO! Though July has been wet and breezy enough for both months put together! The box design was a fun blue and white design rather than the usual pink and as always, was packed with lots of goodies!
I’ll start with the lone make-up product in this month’s box, which was a full sized Teeez Cosmetics Crave Lipgloss (RRP £21). This gloss contains sunflower oil, Camelina Oil and Rosemary Extract so lips feel hydrated as well as leaving a plump, glossy finish. I am always up for trying a new lip gloss, so was very pleased to see this in my box. I loved the consistency, not too thick or sticky…it felt light on the lips and left a natural glossy shine. Definitely a new addition to my make-up bag.

Moving on to skincare and a deluxe sized product (though it is very generous, I thought it was full sized…we have the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel (Deluxe size RRP £13.49). This formula claims to intensely boost hydration without clogging pores. At first I found the texture a little odd, it felt quite sticky on skin but this disappeared quickly. It is light but felt moisturising as well as refreshing – a perfect morning pick me up! My skin felt soft and looked bright after application and it is a great primer for my make-up.

Next up is the I Want You Naked Eye Ampoules (RRP £35). This is a product I hadn’t come across before and it certainly caught my eye. I can’t really say much about these as it all sounds very scientific (I’m sure they are just using this language so us mere mortals think it is something much bigger than it is) but basically these seem to be an intense Hyaluronic Acid serum which claim to plump and smooth the skin around the eyes in 3 days. First of all, I found the ampoules quite generous as each one was to provide two applications but I had more leftover after this which was a bonus. It is a nice, light serum which I patted around my eye area. I wouldn’t say I noticed an immediate effect but after the three days, I did feel like my eyes looked brighter and more awake. I would definitely try these again for an intense treatment before an event or such like.

One of my favourite products in this box was the Rituals, Ritual of Jing Shower Foam (Deluxe size RRP £6). I love this brand and am always pleased to see their products in my beauty boxes. This particular shower foam contains lotus flower extract and Jujube to nourish and soothe and generally provide a luxurious experience. I love how this foams up and it feels very luxurious compared to my usual shower gels. The smell is AMAZING, much more like being in a spa rather than my little bathroom. My skin felt super soft after using this and the scent lingers so you get a little waft every now and again. Love love love!!

Last but not least, we have the Brave. New. Hair 101 Humectant Hair Booster Moisture & Repair (wow, that’s a mouthful) (deluxe size RRP £10). This is a 5-in-1 hair treatment which claims to protect against breakage and heat as well as adding moisture to hair. I got through this pretty quickly as it was quite small and I have long hair…it smells gorgeous which is something I always like in a hair product. It also left my hair feeling really soft and smooth, definitely more moisturised. I would have like to have got a few more applications out of this but would definitely consider buying the full size.

And there we have June’s offering. I thought this was an excellent box, GB really covered all bases here. I’d have to say my favourite products were the Rituals Shower Foam and the Teeeze Lip Gloss but I used everything and enjoyed it all so I couldn’t really ask for much more! Seeing as we are almost at the end of July I shall try to get my next review out within the week!
