Okay, we are getting there…almost at the end of 2023 now! Again, this such a delayed post that I will just quickly go through everything I received in my November box and what I thought of the products (though I will say just now, this was a pretty damn good box).
Starting strong with make-up, we have the Steve Laurant eyeliner in dark chocolate…I don’t know what the RRP for this is but it’s a full sized product and I had been wanting a brown eyeliner for ages so was pretty stoked to receive this. This is a pencil eyeliner in, you guessed it, dark brown. It applies really smoothly and the colour was a nice change from my usual black…a bit of a softer, more natural look. Once applied, it stays on well and usually lasts all day on me. Not much else I can say about this but would definitely purchase this once I run out.

Moving onto skincare, we have the Rodial Snake Oxygenating & Cleansing bubble mask (RRp £12 or £48 for 8 pack). I really like this brand but hadn’t tried this product before so looked forward to giving it a go, although bubble masks aren’t really my favourite. As always with a bubble mask, it was quite fun to look like a monster for a little while and it felt a bit funny bubbling away on my face…I did find that my skin felt soft afterwards but it didn’t look much different to before and wasn’t as hydrating as other masks I have used. Overall impression – fun, good for a pamper session but nothing special.

Next up is the Basic Skin lip scrub (RRP £16). This was a brand I hadn’t heard of before (and haven’t heard about since) but I liked the sound of the lip scrub, although it’s not a product I tend to reach for. First of all, the scent…this scrub smells and tastes like strawberries which I loved! I applied to wet lips and massaged it in circular motions before rinsing off and wow, did it leave my lips feeling soft! Great product when I remember to use it but still not something I reach for on a regular basis.

My favourite product from November’s box was the Living Proof Perfect Hair Day dry shampoo (RRP £16 travel size, £28 full size). I love love love this product and it might even be my favourite dry shampoo. This doesn’t leave white powdery residue in your hair, you can just spray and go without even looking in the mirror if you so wish. I love that this also gives my hair volume as well as freshening it up and it also smells fabulous. Nothing bad to say about this and I need to stock up as am running low again!

Next out the box is the BubbleT Black Cherry & Vanilla body scrub (RRP £6). I wasn’t sure I would like the scent of this as I’m not usually a fan of cherry but I was pleasantly surprised …not too sweet, nice and refreshing, although it didn’t hang around after my shower which was a bit disappointing. It was a nice scrub and left my skin feeling soft but I do feel it could have been a bit more scrubby if that makes sense…it wasn’t the best I have used. Anyway, I did use the whole tube, I enjoyed it…but I wouldn’t purchase again.

Last but not least was a little extra, an Eyeko sharpener. This wasn’t the most exciting addition but certainly a useful one. I don’t think there is much I can say about this other than it has sharpened my make-up pencils well and is very handy to have around.

So there’s a rundown of the November Glossybox…I’d say a pretty successful box at that. I loved the dry shampoo and have repurchased that since. I also really liked the lip liner and the lip scrub…in fact I liked everything from November’s box including the pretty box design. Just one more post to go until we can move into 2024’s offerings!
