January Glossybox 2024

Oops, I did it again…I am so behind with these posts that I seem to be struggling to motivate myself to catch up. I got to the new year and then gave up again but I’m back…I should have made it my new year’s resolution to stay on top of these posts! Anyway, here is January’s Glossybox (only 6 months late, no biggie). As usual, the theme for January was all about resetting and recharging yada yada, lets just get to the contents of the box!

I’ll start with the largest item in January’s box which is the So Eco exfoliating glove (RRP £6.50). Not the most exciting product but definitely a useful one and I am still using it now. This glove has two sides…an exfoliating side to buff dead skin and a cotton side to gently cleanse. The exfoliating side is rough enough to get a good exfoliation but it doesn’t irritate or leave my skin feeling sore and I love that I can cleanse with the same product. Thumbs up!

Sticking with body care, up next was a deluxe sized OTO hand cream (RRP £19, Full size RRP £29). I found this was more of a balm than a cream and it was quite thick but felt luxurious and very moisturising. It does take a little bit of rubbing in but left my hands feeling so soft and smooth, it is definitely worth the effort. I also love a scented hand cream and this definitely ticked that box, I’m not sure how to describe it but just trust me, it smells gorgeous.

One of my favourite products in January’s box was the deluxe sized Molton Brown bath and shower gel in Coastal Cypress & Sea Fennel (RRP £5, full sized RRP £20). I love Molton Brown shower gels as they always smell amazing and this did not disappoint! You only need a small amount to get a proper lather on and the scent is very strong which I loved! This felt very luxurious and I was sad to reach then end of the bottle, it’s okay though as I got a stack for Christmas which I am still working my way through. Love love love!

Next up was a deluxe sized Gruum pulse point roller ball (RRP £12). This isn’t a product I would typically use but it claims to calm and soothe the nervous system. I applied to my pulse points – temples, neck, wrists and behind my ears as directed and then waited for relaxation to hit. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel this did anything for me, I didn’t feel that it relaxed or soothed me in any way, although the scent is very nice. I did still use it and would apply before bed in the hope it would help me sleep better but I’m not sure it really made any difference. This may work for some and it does have lots of 5 star reviews, I just don’t think it’s the product for me.

The final item from this box was a pair of Glow on The 5th gel under eye patches (RRP £11.03). This was another product I was delighted to see as I love under eye patches and in January, these were particularly useful after a few late nights. I really enjoyed the gel texture, it was very cooling and soothing on the skin. I left these on for 15 minutes as directed and felt that my eye area definitely looked brighter and smoother afterwards. Obviously this was just a temporary fix but these are perfect if you have had a big night or want to brighten eyes before an event. Another great product!

And there we have January’s Glossybox, an absolutely smashing start to the year I’d say. Although I didn’t get on with the roller ball, I loved everything else from this box and wouldn’t hesitate to purchase all the other products again. If I really had to choose, I’d say my favourite items were the Molton Brown shower gel and the eye patches…or the hand cream…argh ok, I can’t choose!! All in all this was a really great box and brilliant value for money!
