August Glossybox 2024

I’ve skipped a month as I didn’t receive a July Glossybox this year…probably for the best seeing as how far behind I am with these posts! But August’s box was a good one so it will be worth the wait, I promise!

I’ll dive straight in and the first product from August’s box was the Teeez Drama Ultra Volume Mascara (RRP £24). I hadn’t tried this before but I like my lashes as thick as I can get them so was excited to give it a go. Unfortunately, I was slightly disappointed as this didn’t give the heavy duty volume I was hoping for. My lashes did look nice but even after two coats, there wasn’t much of an impact. I will say that my lashes did look nice and separated and it didn’t smudge which was a big plus! If you like more of a natural look I would say give this a go but if like me, you want drama, I’d steer clear.

Next up was another make-up product, the Appeal Cosmetics Lip Liner in shade Exposed (RRP £10). This was a brand I hadn’t heard of before but I liked the look of this nudey/ brown liner. This applied really nicely, even and smooth on the lips without any tugging or dragging. I applied lipstick on top as I usually would and it looked really great and lasted well throughout the day. I liked that the nip isn’t a sharp tip and it sharpened well too. A great product and I’m glad I got to try it…it’s actually still going strong in my make-up bag now!

Moving on, we have the Baija Lost Paradise Body Scrub (RRP £12.44). I had received this previously and really liked it so wasn’t unhappy to see it again. It has a gorgeous exotic, fruity scent and is scrubby enough to leave skin feeling soft and smooth but without feeling sore or damaging skin. I just wished the jar was bigger as I got through this very quickly. Love it and thoroughly recommend!

Next up and one of my favourite products was the Rituals Lotus Flower & White Tea Soap Bar. I absolutely love this brand and although a soap bar may seem boring, I was very happy to receive it! I don’t know how to describe the scent but it was absolutely beautiful, like something you would get in a spa. The soap cleansed well and I sometimes used it in the shower as well as for my hands and it left my skin feeling wonderfully cleansed and soft…plus the scent hung around afterwards which I loved. Cannot recommend this enough!

Last but certainly not least we have the ESPA Bergamot & Jasmine Shampoo and conditioner duo.. Now if you read my blog regularly, you will know that one of my pet peeves is receiving a single shampoo or conditioner without it’s partner so I was very happy to see both of these in August’s box! These cleansed my hair well and left it feeling really soft and manageable, not to mention the wonderful scent that came with them. As I have very long hair, these did not last long but I would definitely buy the full sizes in the future.

So there you have it, finally! I really liked August’s box, in particular the Rituals soap and the ESPA hair duo…and although I wasn’t overly keen on the mascara, I still used it until the end of the tube. The lip liner and body scrub were also both fabulous so all in all, a very successful month!

For £5 off your first box you can use my code, KIRSTY-R25 (helpful with Christmas coming up too)!

Until next time,

K x
