Well here I was thinking I had written all my Glossybox reviews for 2024 and have somehow missed out December – which is often one of the best! Though I will say now, don’t get too excited, as although it was a good box, it wasn’t one I would shout about from the rooftops. The design of the box however…very pretty, I loved the sparkly, festive design. But I’ll stop yapping and get into it shall I?
First out of December’s box was a full sized Figs & Rouge Flawless Filter Smooth Set Hydrating Primer (RRP £40.84). I have used a primer or two from this brand before and although I’ve never been blown away, they have been very pleasant to use. This specific version was new to me but I immediately loved the peach and gold packaging *added straight to make-up bag*. The primer itself was lovely and smooth and left my skin feeling velvety soft and the perfect base for make-up. It apparently protects skin from moisture loss, environmental pollution and blue light which sounds great…I can’t say if it it works or not but I’ll live in hope. Nice primer and I have finished the tube, though I haven’t felt the need to rush out and restock.

Next up we have the full sized Lottie London Power Foil Metallic Eyeshadow (RRP £6.95). First of all, a little goes a loooong way so apply sparingly (I learned the hard way). But this bronzey shade is so stunning! It was perfect for party season and so pigmented without a load of fall out. I’ve barely made a dent in the tiny little pot so this is going to last me ages, which I am very happy about. You can also apply sparingly for a less in your face sparkle. I’d absolutely purchase this again and definitely recommend for a bit of a treat. (Disclaimer, I have had to use a stock photo for this product as for some reason I just couldn’t get a good one myself).

Moving on to skincare, I received a deluxe sample of the Wild Science Lab Juice Boost Brightening Serum (RRP £14, full sized RRP £38). I am always intrigued by this brand and this was a new product to me so I looked forward to giving it a go…though when I looked closer I saw that it is designed to improve hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone which isn’t something I have issues with. However, it does also claim to target signs of ageing such as dullness, dry skin and fine lines which I would say applies to me. Anyway, I used this all up and I did find that it left my skin feeling very soft to the touch and super moisturised. I can’t say I noticed a visible difference in my fine lines, whether this was because I needed to use for longer or not I’m not sure but hey, it was a nice serum. Again, I wouldn’t rush to restock but I am also open to buying a full sized bottle.

Next up was a full sized ESPA Bergamot & Jasmine Body Wash (RRP £10). Now I know a lot of people may get bored of receiving body washes but I absolutely love them…you can never have too many in my opinion. First things first with this product, it smells gorgeous! I was transported straight to the spa (even though I hate spas) by the powerful (but not overpowering) fragrance. This definitely made my showers feel a bit more luxurious than usual…it foamed nicely and my skin felts cleansed but not stripped. The scent also lingered for a while afterwards which I thoroughly enjoyed. Loved this and would absolutely recommend as a little treat.

The last item from December’s box were a pair of So Eco No Crease Clips (RRP £3.99). These gold flecked hair clips are super cute and perfect for keeping my hair out of my face when doing my skincare or make-up. Not an expensive addition but certainly a useful one and I am still using these now.

So there we (finally) have December’s Glossybox review. Not the most exciting box but I would definitely say it was a good one. I particularly loved the ESPA shower cream and the primer and eyeshadow were great additions for party season, but I also got use out of everything in the box and more importantly, enjoyed using it all.
