January Glossybox 2025

Aaaannnddd it’s 2025! Yes I know, it’s actually March but I’m throwing it back to January’s Glossybox which, after silly season, was all about wellness and self care. I loved the design of this box as it was a little drawer rather than the usual lift off lid, I’ll definitely be keeping that one for storage. This was a great box with a couple of little extra treats…read on to see what I received.

I was a little sad to see there weren’t any make-up products in January’s box, so I’ll start with skincare. Subscribers received a full sized ErthSkin London Hydro Surge Gel Cleanser (RRP £39.99) which claims to provide a deep cleanse whilst also hydrating and revitalising skin. This all sounded perfect for the winter months and thankfully I wasn’t disappointed. This cleansed my skin well, though I did need a double cleanse when I had a full face of make-up on. My skin didn’t feel tight or dry after using and the bottle lasts for ages as you only need a small amount at a time – I still have some left a few months later. Is it worth forty quid? I wouldn’t say so, but it is a very pleasant and effective cleanser.

Next up is a trial sized Korres Probiotic SuperDose Face Mask (Full size £39). I’m still not entirely sure what the main aims of this mask are but basically I think hydration might be it’s focus (do feel free to correct me if I’m wrong). It was a fairly small tube so I didn’t get a huge number of uses out of this but I applied as directed and left on for 10-15 minutes before rinsing off. My skin did feel really lovely and soft after use and I had no reaction which is always a bonus but I can’t say it excited me in any way…it was pleasant to use but I wouldn’t go out of my way to use it again.

Going along with the face mask we have a full sized Glossybox mask brush. I have to say the box that this came in was so pretty, like a pattern on some fine china! The brush itself was a sleek white number with incredibly soft bristles. I don’t tend to use a brush to apply masks, though I probably should as I’m sure it is more sanitary than my fingers. I applied the Korres mask with this and it did provide a nice even coverage. I don’t really think there is much else I can say other than I’m very tempted to start using it as a foundation brush too.

Not content with just one mask in the box, I also received a packet of Wander Beauty Baggage Claim Gold Eye Masks (Full sized RRP £29.99). I absolutely love eye masks so I was very happy to see these in my box! I had used these masks a few times previously so already knew I liked them. These claim to brighten and hydrate eyes as well as reducing puffiness and I can confirm that they work like a dream! I love using these before a night out or if I have had a terrible night’s sleep and need to try and look more like a human than a zombie. Spenny? Yes but absolutely worth it in my opinion.

Next out the box and one of my favourite additions was the Bare Beauty scented candle in Fresh Cotton (RRP £29.99). I don’t think I have ever received a candle in a beauty box before so I was flipping ecstatic when I saw this! This candle smelled so fresh, literally like fresh cotton sheets and was perfect for the dark January nights (and dark January days). The scent travelled well and really filled the room. I so hope Glossybox starts adding more candles to the boxes as I think they are such a nice addition.

Last but certainly not least was an extra little treat in the form of Pukka Night time teabags. I received two of these in my box and I thought they were a lovely addition for January, after all the hustle and bustle of December. I obviously much prefer breakfast tea but I do make an effort to drink herbal tea in the evenings. These teabags contain notes of lavender and chamomile, the perfect combination to set you up for a good night’s sleep. Did they work? I can’t say I noticed, but I enjoyed drinking the tea and would absolutely buy a box (though I will admit I haven’t as yet).

So there we have January’s offering. I have to say, considering this box didn’t contain any make-up products, I was really pleased with it. I absolutely loved the candle and the eye masks and the cleanser was also great (though a bit pricey in my opinion). I got use out of everything from the box which certainly does not always happen!
