A trip back to the start of Spring and the theme for March’s Glossybox was Blossom with Radiance, bringing a fresh look with the vibrance of Spring. Quite ambiguous but it all sounds rather lovely after the dark and miserable winter months. But let’s not hang around, we all just want to know what was in the box, or bag as was the case this month!
As make-up is always my fave, I’ll start with the Give Them Lala mini cream blush (RRP £11.78). This is an eye popping pink shade that looks rather alarming in the compact but thankfully, it is slightly less vibrant on the skin. This is a cream blush which I have been applied using my fingers and a brush, both giving a really nice, natural flush. It is buildable, and I suggest going in lightly and building up to your desired colour rather than going in all guns blazing and ending up like Coco the Clown. The packaging does feel a little cheap but the product itself is fabulous.

The second make-up product I received was the Jecca Blac Brow Seal (RRP £14). Now this just isn’t the type of product I have ever used, my brows are pretty thin and seem to stay in place on their own. However, in the name of research I did give this a go and can confirm that it does what it says on the tin. This left my brows feeling securely in place without leaving white residue (as other similar products have) or like they have been glued to my face. However, I will admit that I haven’t kept using this, purely because I prefer using a brow pencil and dislike how they feel together.

Moving onto skincare, we have the deluxe size Rodial Pore Refining Cleanser (RRP £10). I was looking forward to trying this as I have enjoyed using other products from this brand and thankfully I wasn’t disappointed. This cleanser contains salicyclic acid, coconut acid, ginseng and niacinamide and claims to cleanse, control excess oil and lock in hydration (all sounding good so far). I found this to be a really effective cleanser which didn’t irritate my skin and left my face feeling soft and noticeably smooth. I still needed moisturiser afterwards but my face certainly didn’t feel as tight as it has with a lot of other cleansers I have used in the past. I’d say it is a little on the spenny side for a cleanser but if I fancy treating myself I would certainly grab another one of these.

Next up we have the Youth Lab Blemish Dots (RRP £4.11). I was super excited to try these as spot stickers have been all over the place in recent years and I’ve never actually tried them. However, I was disappointed to realise that these don’t actually contain any ingredients to actively reduce spots, they just keep the area clean (yes I know this does help but I wanted more). I will say that these are genuinely almost invisible on the skin (I’m just not confident enough to walk about with yellow stars on my face) and very comfortable to wear, I had forgotten I even had them on when I wore them. All in all, a disappointment for me but they are great if you want to keep the area clear and if you are prone to picking spots!

Last but certainly not least was the Mitchell and Peach English Leaf Luxury Hand Cream (RRP £20.39). I have used this hand cream before and absolutely loved it so was very pleased to see as full sized tube in my Glossybox. This cream contains shea butter, vitamin E and English honey and is fragranced with English leaf, coriander leaves, basil, mint, floral oils and citrus…it sounds more like a recipe than a hand cream but believe me when I say it smells GORGEOUS! It also leaves my hands feeling so soft and smooth, without feeling sticky. Love love LOVE this hand cream and I thoroughly recommend giving it a try!

So there we have March’s offering, better late than never. I thought this was a nice box, not my favourite but good nonetheless…I particularly liked the hand cream and the cleanser. I was a bit disappointed with the blemish stickers and the eyebrow seal, but I think that is just more personal preference than anything. Until next time,
