July Glossybox 2025

It’s Summer! Or at least it was back in July when the monthly theme was Escape to Paradise! Although to be honest we’ve had so much sun here that I’ve not felt the need to escape the UK for once. I was hoping for some products to see us through the sunny days and glorious weather, did I get them? Read on to find out…

I’m going to start with what I considered to be the most summery product in July’s box and that was the Philip Kingsley Swim Cap water resistant mask (Full size RRP £25). This hair mask protects hair from chlorinated and salt water, perfect if you’re going on holiday…not so perfect if, like me, you’re not going anywhere near a pool or the sea. I do love PK products but this was not the product for me and I didn’t want to use it unnecessarily so I gave it to a friend who was jetting off to the Islands. She did confirm that it left her hair feeling fab though.

Next out the box was the Sugar Silk Beauty brow definer pen with spoolie in the shade dark brown (RRP £29.99). This came at the perfect time for me as I had just ran out of my trusty pencil and it was the right shade for me. I really liked this, the nib is nice and sharp, giving precise application and it filled in my brows perfectly. I never use a spoolie but I’m sure it’s a handy addition for those who do. I do think the price is a bit high…I’m very much a budget girlie when it comes to brow pencils and I can’t say I notice any different in this and my £7 option (although it is pretty and pink).

Moving on to skincare we have the Bubble T Hydrogel Brightening under eye patches (full size £2.99). I love an under eye mask so was very happy to see these in my box! These apply easily and stay in place so you can lie down and relax or wear around the house (you could wear out the house too but I wouldn’t advise it). My eyes looked brighter and felt refreshed after using but as with all eye masks, it’s a short term fix. Perfect before an occasion or just when you fancy a bit of a pamper.

Next up, we have the Dr Lipp elderberry tinted multi-use balm (RRP £6.99). I’m not a huge fan of multi-use products but I do love these balms so this was a welcome addition to my collection. This balm is 100% natural and can apparently be worn on cheeks and eyes as well as lips. I will say, I loved this on my lips, nourishing, glossy, hint of tint – perfection. I do not agree that it looks good anywhere else…I did try on my cheeks and eyes in the name of research and it was definitely too sticky on my eyelids and just looked shiny and patchy on my cheeks. Good product but for me, it’s definitely staying on my lips and nowhere else.

The last product from the July box was the Nails. Inc Vit C Please Cuticle Oil (Full size RRP £9). My nails and cuticles weren’t in the best shape so this was perfect for me. I applied over my nail and cuticle area daily and I have to say I do think it has made a difference. My nails feel stronger and my cuticles are so much smoother and any flaky bits have gone. It’s a small bottle but I’ve been using this for months and have still barely made a dent so it will last for ages.

And there we have July’s Glossybox in full. It did feel quite summery, though I was disappointed that the hair mask wasn’t of much use to me. I loved everything else though, the eye masks are long gone but I am still using the brow pencil, cuticle oil and lip balm so all in all this was a good box for me.
