February Glossybox 2021

Yaaay, the longest month is finally behind us and Spring is around the corner! Glossybox are giving off very retro vibes with this month’s box design and the Sing, Dance, Love Repeat theme which aims to bring back some nostalgia! I love the cassette tape design, but did I love the contents of February’s box? Read on to find out…

At first look, there is a good mix of make-up and skincare products, all of which are full sized! I’m going to start with the lip products as there were a few of them in this month’s box.

First out the box is the NudeStix Gel Colour Lip and Cheek Balm (RRP £20). I really wanted to like this, but I just don’t really wear this colour and although it’s more of a balm than a lipstick, the red shade just doesn’t do it for me. It says you can also wear on cheeks and eyes…this is not something I would ever put on my eyes! I also don’t know how I would wear it on my cheeks without it looking very uneven, so all in all this is not the product for me. It does have good reviews though and I think in a different shade, I would be much more positive about it.

Next up is the Steve Laurant Total Repair Lip Mask (RRP £5). I find these masks are more gimmeky than actual must have product but they still make a nice pampering treat. This feels weird and it is annoying not being able to open your mouth while it’s on but it did leave my lips feeling soft and nourished afterwards.

The last lip product in this month’s box is the Avant Skincare Perfecting Rose Sugar Lip Scrub (RRP £58). I have been using my trusty L’Occitane lip scrub which smells good enough to eat so it will take a lot to knock it off the top spot. This scrub is gentle but effective and smells quite nice (although not as nice as L’Occotaine’s I have to say). I massaged this into my lips before rinsing off and they felt really soft and nourished. I would definitely use this again if it weren’t for the price!

Next out the box is Bubble T Peach Bellini Restoring Hand Cream (RRP £4.99). I love a hand cream and this was my favourite product in this months box (as well as the cheapest, bravo Bubble T). This contains aloe vera extract and shea butter for moisture and is scented with, you guessed it, peaches! This smells nice and sinks in quickly so you’re not left with a greasy residue…it’s also a pretty big tube so it will last for ages too!

The last item out the box and by far my least favourite is the Glow on 5th Rose Gua Sha (RRP £10). I was expecting a rose quartz tool but this is actually just a flimsy piece of plastic made to look like it. This does not feel nice on my face and you would be way better off paying more and buying a proper tool!

So there’s February’s Glossybox, not my favourite box but certainly not a bad one. For starters, all five products were full sized which is amazing! I loved the hand cream and the lip scrub, and enjoyed using the lip scrub. Although I was very disappointed with the massage tool which really is just a cheap bit of tat. Anyway, March’s box is just round the corner and I’m excited to see what I’ll receive! What are your thoughts on this month’s box?
