January Glossybox 2026

Happy New Year (said as I type this in May). January’s Glossybox theme was Revive and Reset but let’s be honest, we all know it’s just another version of New Year, New Me – products that help us cast off the previous year and emerge like a new born baby into 2026! Read on to find out what glorious offerings I received in my first box of the new year.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it…as usual I’ll start with make-up and the first item out of the box was a full sized Anastasia Beverly Hills lip liner (RRP £18). I’ll be honest, I can’t remember what shade I received but it was a very dark brown compared to my usual nude shades. However, it is a very nice liner, and although it is a pencil, it applies seamlessly and doesn’t drag lips at all. It is darker than I’d usually like but I’ve found that if I apply around the edges of my lips, blend towards the middle and then apply a creamy nude lipstick on top it actually looks great and makes my lips look fuller – win win! It also lasts really well and doesn’t need much topping up throughout the day (or night).

Next out the box was another full sized product, the MUA Hydra Juice Peptide Lip Glaze in shade Caramel Glaze (RRP £2.50). Now although this is a very budget brand, I was pleasantly surprised by this product. First of all, I liked the sweet caramel flavour…sweet but not too sweet. The balm itself feels really moisturising and leaves my lips with a glossy sheen which isn’t so sticky that my hair attaches itself to my face. Just goes to show that price isn’t everything as this gets a big thumbs up!

Moving into the bathroom, we have the full sized Anatomicals Revitalise and Renew Shower Scrub (RRP £5). I prefer receiving shower gels over shower scrubs but I put this straight in the bathroom and I did like seeing the cute little green bottle propped up on the shelf. The scrub has a nice, fresh scent, though it doesn’t last and was pretty much non existent as soon as I stepped out the shower. I can’t say it’s the best scrub I have used, it does feel a little rough when applying (not in a bad way) but I never really felt as though my skin felt softer after use. All in all, it’s okay but I wouldn’t look to purchase and also wouldn’t be very excited to see it again in a future box.

Next up was the We Are Paradoxx Thickening Volume Blow Dry Spray (RRP £15, Full size RRP £25). I am always battling to try and get a bit of volume in my persistently flat hair so I was very excited to see this in my box. This spray is vegan, contains 94% natural ingredients and claims to boost volume, reduce frizz and strengthen hair – all sounding good so far. I applied this to damp hair and then blow dried as directed…as for the results, they weren’t extreme but I did see a noticeable increase in oomph and my hair did feel thicker than usual. Most importantly, there was no leftover residue and my hair didn’t feel sticky, greasy or stiff! Unfortunately it was a fairly small bottle so I got through it quite quickly…I haven’t repurchased as yet but I am definitely considering it.

The last item from my January box was the Commodity Milk Expressive fragrance (RRP £14, Full sized 100ml RRP £140). I’d seen this product around but had never actually tried it and was very pleasantly surprised when I gave this a spray as it smells Amazing!! Apparently it contains notes of Marshmallow, Mahogany and Tonk Bean so if those float your boat, you will love this! I was very sad when this ran out, as I have so many fragrances still to get through that I can’t justify buying any more, however, this has earned it’s place on my wishlist and I will definitely be getting a bottle at some point in the future!

And there we have it, the first box of 2026 over and out. This was a pretty good box for me, the perfume was the stand out product for me but I also really liked the blow dry spray, lip liner and lip balm. I wasn’t overly enamoured with the shower scrub but four out of five certainly ain’t bad. If you would like to join Glossybox, you can get £5 off your first subscription with the code KIRSTY-R25.

Until next time,
