April Glossybox 2026

Spring has sprung, and we are now well and truly getting into the time of year where we can be in shorts and t-shirts one minute and wrapped up battling hailstones the next. Welcome to The Spring Edit, which looked to provide products to embrace the season and rather than reinventing our routines, just giving them a little refresh. This may also be the last month that subscribers receive a pink box/ bag with their edit (coming from future Kirsty), which I will admit, I am quite sad about! But enough of the chit chat, let’s get into April’s offering.

Usually make-up is my favourite part of my Glossybox but unfortunately not in this case. The first item out of this month’s box was a full sized The Beauty Crop Vitamin Babe Flawless Shine Controlling Setting Powder in Translucent (RRP £9). Now, my feelings are nothing personal to the product itself, I have just never managed to get on with powders of any kind…I find they settle into every fine line on my face, including those I didn’t even know existed! So I will admit, I gave this away to a friend. However, it does seem to have pretty good reviews as a setting powder so please do not dismiss this on my account!

Anyway, we move on to the products that I have actually used and we’ll begin with the This Works Perfect Body Smoothing Wash (RRP £5, Full size RRP £20). This body wash contains fruit derived acids and PHAs which exoliate whilst simultaneously cleansing and hydrating skin. I have to say my heart sank a little when I saw this in my box as I thought it was yet another This Works body lotion which I have received many times before, however, my spirits were lifted when I realised it was a shower product which I had actually never used. It says this can be used on face and body but I don’t like using multi use products on my face so I just used this as a shower gel. It definitely left my skin feeling clean and soft and thanks to the essential oils, I smelt like I’d spent the afternoon at the spa afterwards. Really nice body product that I’d definitely use again!

Next up, we have the Wild Science Lab Happy Glow Face Butter (20ml RRP £18, 50ml RRP £38). This is a lightweight face butter that claims to moisturise, plump and leave skin with a natural glow. It is vegan, cruelty free and free from silicones, parabens and sulphates – the usual nasties. When I first saw the words ‘face butter’ I immediately imagined clogged pores and breakouts but I was pleasantly surprised to find that the texture was actually very lightweight for a buttery product. It smoothed over my skin with ease and sank in quickly, leaving my face feeling soft and moisturised. I experienced no adverse reactions and it didn’t feel heavy or leave any residue on top of my skin. All in all a very nice moisturiser and another product I would use again.

Moving on to hair, we have the Christophe Robin Hydrating Melting Mask with Aloe Vera (RRP £15, Full size RRP £30). My hair is very flat and and can look greasy quite easily so I have to be careful not to apply products that are too rich or heavy. I hadn’t tried this hair mask before but seeing as it claims to be an ultra lightweight product that deeply hydrates, softens and smooths hair I thought it was definitely worth a try! I applied after shampooing and left on for a couple of minutes as directed (a massive plus point is that this only needs left on for 2 minutes so can be done during your regular shower) before rinsing out. The first thing I noticed is that it is definitely lightweight…almost too lightweight in fact, which is not something I ever thought I would say. But I did feel I needed to use quite a lot of product to feel like my hair was truly coated. The results? My hair felt gloriously soft, smooth and more manageable than before. I can’t say I noticed an injection of shine but I didn’t really expect to. If your hair gets greasy quickly I’d definitely recommend giving this mask a try! My hair felt so light and fresh and it looked great for days after, plus it takes no time at all to use which is a massive plus point for me.

The last product from April’s box was the full sized Gruum Doft Roll-On Fragrance in Amber & Cardamom (RRP £12). I can’t say I’m a huge fan of roll on fragrances as I can’t really use them if I’m wearing instant tan (which is a lot). However, this smells SO GOOD! It is an unusual fragrance and I’m sorry but I am terrible at describing scents so all I can say is it isn’t too girly or feminine which I absolutely love, it’s the perfect balance of masculine and feminine. It’s also the prefect size for carrying while on the go so this has been my handbag essential ever since I received it. I’ve not got a lot left but I’ll definitely be looking to replace it one this little bottle is finished.

And there we have April’s box, which wasn’t my favourite due to the setting powder but that is definitely a me issue rather than the product itself. But I genuinely really liked everything else in the box, the roll on fragrance in particular! Until next time,
