Oops, another very delayed unboxing post! I’ll make this one fairly brief seeing as it isn’t available for purchase any more. As usual the box design was bright and bold with the slogan “WE ALL DESERVE TO FEEL ICONIC” emblazoned across the lid. The contents were equally as bold and colourful and there was a good mix of make-up, skincare, haircare etc (although as usual, mostly trial sizes).

So January felt like it ran on for about 20 weeks whereas February has felt like 20 minutes! Where the hell did the last 28 days go?! One bonus is, another month means another beauty box. February’s Glossybox theme was ‘Timelss Treats’ and came in two different designs…a black or white box rather than the usual pastel pink. I received the black design and an added Illiamasqua treat as I signed up again after my last subscription ended – score.

I don’t think I managed to get January’s Birchbox post done but I can’t be bothered writing it now so we will just have to forget about that one (it wasn’t the best and you didn’t miss out on much) and let’s swiftly move on to Feb. I always find February boxes more fun than January’s…less focus on detoxing and recovery yada yada. This month’s theme is ‘Choose Love’ and features a super colourful heart design which I love! The contents have a good mix of full sized and trial sized items (I sometimes find BB to be a bit mean with their product sizes so this was a bonus) and there were lots of new finds for me!

Wooo, the first post of 2022! And the first box of the year…I will admit, I wasn’t blown away with this month’s offering, but the contents did fit very well with the ‘Mindful Mornings’ theme. After enjoying the festivities a bit too much, some TLC was definitely what the doctor ordered in January and this box focused on body care/ skincare etc rather than make-up. The products were very generous in size which was an added bonus. But enough chit chat, let’s delve in…

So, I am seriously behind schedule with the beauty box posts, with delayed dispatches, Storm Arwen cutting our power off for a week and December festivities in general, I’ve cut myself some slack and am bringing you both November and December’s boxes to you just before we see the year out! I was pretty impressed with both Glossybox offerings over the past two months and they were crammed with so many goodies, as well as December’s gorgeous navy box design which I will definitely be keeping. But I’ve left you waiting long enough, let’s get to the good stuff.

Unlike Glossybox, Birchbox definitely didn’t celebrate Halloween month with a spooky theme (I’m a little sad to be honest) but we did get treated to a ‘Crafting Beauty’ theme which I think revolves around crafting our own beauty routines (am I right? I don’t even know). Anyway, the box design is a colourful, kind of woven like design – I got the pink and orangey shade which is super cute. As is usually the case, the majority of items are sample sized but there was a cracking full sized item this month! I’ve already tried a couple of products before but there were also a few newbies for me to sample. But lets not beat around the bush any longer…

Spooky season is upon us and Glossybox have got into the spirit with a Magical Masquerade themed box which encourages us to unleash our alter egos with the red and black ‘Secret’ box design or be your authentic self with the black and silver ‘Truth’ box (I got the Truth box FYI). Subscribers will also receive a cardboard mask to match their box which look pretty cool, although not that I will ever use it as a mask. I have to say I wasn’t as excited by this year’s October box as I was about last year’s but there are lots of full sized items and a good mix of items, although slightly more make-up this month which I’m certainly not complaining about.

Another day, another delayed review post…and although my Birchbox was delayed this month, it’s more due to me being lazy and I just really couldn’t be arsed. But here it is, in all it’s glory and still with a day to spare! This month subscribers were treated to a tin rather than a cardboard box which was a nice little surprise…and a perfect little storage solution. As is often the case with Birchbox there were a lot of small sample sizes and much like September’s Glossybox, it was quite skincare heavy…but I did get some fabulous finds…

This month’s Glossybox was delayed, hence why this post is so late in the month…it was however, jam packed with goodies so I’m certainly not complaining! September’s theme was Pure Relaxation, bringing us products which aim to allow us to pamper and relax…and worth over £75 in total! I received three full sized items in this month’s box as well as three trial sized items and an extra sweet treat as an added bonus. But enough of that, let’s just get to the good bit…

I am late late late with this post but I’ve just managed to squeeze it in before August comes to an end. I got reminded that today is the last day of summer today which is very sad seeing as I feel like most of it has been rain, rain and more rain! However, while it was a bit dreich down in the Borders this weekend, I spent a couple of days in glorious sunshine up in Perth so at least that was something. Anyway, August’s Birchbox theme was Cosmic Beauty and subscribers were treated to an astrological design on their boxes which was looked amazing. The products themselves were pretty good this month with a good variety of make-up, skincare and hair proucts…but lets delve a little deeper.
