My name is Kirsty and I’m a shopaholic…though I have no intention of stopping. I don’t know about you but online shopping has helped to keep me sane over the past year, I bloody love it! I haven’t been buying nearly as much clothing, shoes and make-up seeing as I haven’t had anywhere to go but I seem to have replaced this with literally anything else I can think of.

So a few months ago I was seriously considering cancelling my Birchbox (okay I did cancel it but FOMO got the better of me and I signed up again before I missed a box) but I am now so glad I didn’t! April’s box isn’t actually a box but with celebrating World Earth Day, a Stasher reusable silicone pouch. There are three colour options and I was very happy with the peachy colour that I received. These pouches can be used for any number of things including cooking and food storage! I felt there was a great mix of products in this month’s box and there were a couple of full sized items too which I would say BB has been lacking in recent months.

April is not a month of beauty for me as I spend most of my time in the lambing shed covered in muck and straw. However, that certainly doesn’t stop me appreciating the lovely products that have been posted through my door. This month’s Glossybox theme is ‘Woke Up In Spring’ and features three full sized products and two deluxe minis with an overall value of over £50 and although I have been getting these boxes for a few years now, I am still loving them as much as ever.

Glossybox’s theme for March was Pretty Pleasures, a box containing products that will boost your mood and your confidence (I don’t know about you but I could do with some of that right now). I’d say this month was a mixed bag for me in terms of products but there was a good range of make-up skincare, nail varnish and beauty tools which was great. But without wasting any more time, lets see what was inside!

I am very late to the party with my subscription box reviews this month and am just getting round to writing this on the last day of March! The March Birchbox celebrated International Women’s Day and made sure to feature some female founded brands and celebrate powerful women. I found the contents of this month’s box pretty good, a nice variety of products and mixture of make-up, skincare and hair products, although as is often the case with Birchbox now, the sizes were very small.

I don’t know about you but one of the things I’ve missed most this past year is being able to eat out in a restaurant. I love my food and although we’ve had the usual Chinese and a couple of restaurant take-aways, it’s not been the same as being able to go out and have a nice meal! With lockdown rules potentially easing in the near future (fingers crossed) I thought I would write a post about some of my favourite places to eat. Now my list consists of restaurants in Edinburgh, but if you don’t live nearby don’t worry…just make sure you book a getaway as soon as it’s allowed!

So obviously this is a very late post as we are well into March by now but I finally decided to bite the bullet and cancel Birchbox at the end of Jan…only to succumb to a big case of FOMO and resubscribed at the end of Feb. I did however, only subscribe for 3 months rather than my usual 6 in case I change my mind (baby steps). February’s box came in the shape of a bright blue, squishy bag which will be perfect for storing some goodies or using as a sponge bag etc. The contents were also a pleasant surprise compared to some previous months, although still not overwhelming. The theme was A Beautiful Day Begins With a Beautiful Mindset…a bit of a mouthful but sounds lovely nonetheless and I feel the products in this month’s box reflect this well.

Yaaay, the longest month is finally behind us and Spring is around the corner! Glossybox are giving off very retro vibes with this month’s box design and the Sing, Dance, Love Repeat theme which aims to bring back some nostalgia! I love the cassette tape design, but did I love the contents of February’s box? Read on to find out…

I had been meaning to write a post on items I had bought/ lusted after in the January sales but never got round to it and now it’s almost the end of Feb! Does anyone else find January feels like the longest month and then February always goes by in a flash?! Anyway, I thought I would write a little post about my Jan/ Feb purchases (and maybe some gifts/ prizes I was lucky enough to receive). The winter sales are one of my favourite things about January (okay, probably the only part of January to look forward to), but due to being in between jobs, I actually had to try and limit myself and not go too mad this year!

Shoes, boots, trainers, sandals, heels…I love them all and have far, far too many pairs (not that this will stop me adding more). However, I’m going to focus on boots for this post as, seeing as it’s winter, I rarely wear anything else on my feet at the moment (other than slippers obvs). There are so many options, ankle, knee, thigh high, leather, suede, wellies…the list could go on! I’m going to go through my favourite boots and also those which are currently on my wishlist!
